Schlumberge is an oilfield services company headquartered in Houston, Texas that operates in more than 120 countries. Its stock is traded on the NYSE

In July 2007, the DOJ sent an inquiry to Schlumberger asking about whether certain freight forwarding and customs clearance services of Panalpina, Inc. and other companies, including Schlumberger, violated the FCPA. The company instituted an internal investigation into the matter and cooperated with the DOJ's investigation.

In October 2012, the DOJ notified Schlumberger that it had closed its investigation into the company and that no enforcement action would be filed.
