Summary

Digicel Group Limited is a privately-held telecommunications company based in Bermuda that provides mobile communications, business solutions, cable TV, and broadband services in the Caribbean and South Pacific regions.

According to a Bloomberg.com news article published on November 25, 2024, Digicel told creditors it had voluntarily reported possible violations of the FCPA to the DOJ and that it was cooperating with the agency in its investigation. The company gave no further details about the scope or where the violations occurred other than to say that multiple jurisdictions were involved.

According to an Irish Independent news article published on April 14, 2025, Digicel told its investors that the DOJ had closed its investigation into the company on April 1. The decision to close the investigation was reportedly a combination of President Trump's February 10 executive order and "information gleaned during the probe."
