Summary

Kosmos Energy Ltd (Kosmos), a Delaware corporation with principal offices in Texas, is an oil and gas exploration and production company focused along the Atlantic Margins. Its common stock is traded on the New York Stock Exchange and the London Stock Exchange.

On June 3, 2019, the BBC broadcast a television program entitled "Panorama: the $10 Billion Energy Scandal," in which the news service detailed certain allegedly suspicious energy deals in Senegal. Kosmos held an interest in some of the assets noted in the show. Following the broadcast, Kosmos released a statement strongly refuting the claims made by the BBC.

According to its 10-K filed on February 25, 2020 however, the SEC requested after the broadcast of the program that Kosmos voluntarily provide certain documents related to the assets at issue. The company said it was cooperating with the SEC's voluntary request.

In its 10-K filed on February 28, 2023, Kosmos disclosed that the SEC had informed the company in December 2022 that the agency had closed its investigation with no further action.
