Deutsche Bank AG, a German financial services corporation, operated in more than 70 countries worldwide, and the company's securities were registered with the SEC and traded on the New York Stock Exchange.

In its 20-F filed on March 20, 2015, Deutsche Bank disclosed that “certain regulators” were investigating, among other things, Deutsche Bank’s compliance with the FCPA and other laws with respect to the bank's engagement of consultants in the Asia/Pacific region. The company's March 20, 2017 annual report confirmed that the regulators were the SEC and DOJ.

On January 8, 2021, the DOJ and SEC announced enforcement actions against Deutsche Bank.
