Ambev S.A. (Ambev) was a Brazilian brewing company now merged into Anheuser-Busch InBev. Its American Depositary Shares were traded on the New York Stock Exchange.
In a 20-F filed on March 25, 2015, Ambev disclosed that it had conducted an internal investigation into its internal controls and compliance procedures in connection with the services provided by a consulting firms several years prior. The company determined that it should investigate those services when the consulting firm's name was included on a list of companies that Brazilian authorities were investigating with corruption allegations.
Ambev found no evidence of misconduct in its investigation, and it is unclear if the investigation included an FCPA component.
