Summary

FedEx Corporation (FedEx) is an American multinational conglomerate holding company which focuses on transportation, e-commerce and business services. It is headquartered in Memphis, Tennessee and its stock is traded on the NYSE.

In December 2013, FedEx received an anonymous tip about allegations that FedEx's Kenya operation bribed government officials in the country between 2010 and 2013. The alleged bribes went to customs officials to clear shipments without inspection, as well as to government vehicle inspectors and others.

According to statements by the company, these allegations were similar to separate allegations that the company was already investigating.

Shortly after receiving the anonymous tip, FedEx reported the allegations and its internal investigation to both the DOJ and SEC. The company said it has been "engaged in a cooperative dialogue with both agencies" since reporting the allegations to them.

There appear to have been no other public disclosures of this investigation.
