Grana y Montero is a group of engineering and infrastructure service companies operating in Latin America. Its stock is traded on the NYSE.
Following the reports of misconduct at Odebrecht, Grana y Montero initiated an internal investigation into its relationships with companies and the contracts it had with Odebrecht.
In a press release dated February 24, 2017, the company denied allegations of bribery made by a former Odebrecht representative in Peru. Though that Odebrecht representative made the allegations in a local publication published the same day as Grana y Montero's press release, the company later disclosed that it had started an internal investigation into its operations with Odebrecht and other companies in January 2017.
In its 20-F filed on July 2, 2018, Grana y Montero disclosed that it had completed its internal investigation in November of 2017. The investigation reportedly turned up no misconduct, and there was no indication that U.S. authorities ever initiated an investigation into the company.
